"While in New Zealand wondering about recording studios for this project, we visited a lovely secluded beach. As we explored the coastline we came across som small caves in the cliffs. The acoustics where wonderful, complete with sea sloshing in the background, dripping water, and crabs watching me attentively! This was the perfect place!!
Over the next few weeks I went there at low tide armed with my portabel DAT recorder, condensor mikes and guitars, recording the base tracks for the bulk of these songs. I also reorded "She walks" amongst the cicadas and silent mighty trees of the Russel Kaui Forest.
Inspired by the natural environment, it has been a true joy to record these 'Songs of heart'."
